Mary Ellen Mudzik, 64, of Wilkes-Barre entered into eternal rest to be with the Lord on Wednesday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She passed away peacefully with family and friends at her side.
Born August 15, 1948 in Hudson she was a daughter of the late Catherine and Albert Frashefski.
Mary Ellen was a retiree of Luzerne County Community College where she worked for thirty-six years in the Office of the Registrar.
A member of the Parish of Saint Robert Bellarmine, Mary Ellen was a communicant at the Church of Saint Aloysius where she sang in the choir and made potato pancakes for the annual bazaar.
Her most precious times were those spent with her family, friends and puppies. She also enjoyed decorating her home and yard for every holiday. She adored time spent with her grandson and going out to eat with friends.
Her sister, Theresa Domanski and brother, Walter Frashefski preceded her in death.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Nicholas; sons, Jared and his wife Eileen and Scott, all of Wilkes-Barre; grandson, Nicholas; brother, Raymond Frashefski of Florida; brother-in-law, John Domanski of Jenkins Township; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Celebration of Mary Ellen’s Life will be held Saturday at 8:30 AM from McLaughlin's - The Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Aloysius. Entombment will be in Saint Mary's Mausoleum in Hanover Township.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Friday from 4 to 8 PM.
