Mary L. Cochran Moss, 71, of High Street in Wilkes-Barre died Thursday at Kingston Commons.
Born 14 May 1938 in Detroit, Michigan she was a daughter of the late John W. and Leanna Swanson Cochran.
Mary was a graduate of Detroit City High School.
A long-time resident of Wilkes-Barre, Mary retired from the State Correctional Institute at Retreat and previously served as a secretary for King's College and Commission on Economic Opportunity.
A sister, Laverne Cochran and brothers, John, Leroy and Lonny Cochran preceded her in death.
Surviving are sons, Carl T. Moss, Jr. of Wilkes-Barre and Craig Moss of Delaware, grandson, Julian Campenni of Exeter, sister, Melvina Cochran of Detroit and brother, Edward Cochran of Detroit.
Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held Tuesday at 10 AM at McLaughlin’s Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Hanover Township.
