Maureen Hannon, 86, of Wilkes-Barre passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.
Born September 8, 1932 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late John and Anna McNally Lynn.
Maureen was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School and Wilkes-Barre Business College. She retired in 1995 after working twenty years in the admissions department of the former Mercy Hospital.
Maureen was a member of the Parish of Saint Nicholas. She enjoyed reading and cooking, and loved being outdoors, spending many hours walking and gardening.
Her husband, Daniel W. Hannon, preceded her in death on August 10, 1975.
Maureen will be greatly missed by her children, Kathleen, Juleanne and Joseph Hannon of Wilkes-Barre; a grandson, Jerome Hannon; brothers, Jack Lynn of Wernersville and Robert Lynn of Kentucky; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Celebration of Maureen's Life will begin Thursday with visitation from 4 to 7 PM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre and continue there on Friday with gathering at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery.
