Michael C. Hartley, 55, of Plains Township died Saturday, August 21, 2021.
Born August 23, 1965 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Donald C. and Anne Rettenmeyer Hartley.
A 1983 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School he continued his education at Penn State Wilkes-Barre.
Michael was employed by Gatorade in Mountain Top prior to his recent illness. He previously worked for Don's Machine Shop in West Pittston and Techneglas in Pittston.
His in-laws, Stanley and Emma Roman, preceded him in death.
His wife of thirty-six years, the former Maria Roman; daughters, Megan Hartley and Maureen and her husband Matt Knapich; grandchildren, Aiden and Liathana Hartley-Cox, Colt Hartley, and Penelope and Poppy Knapich; brother, Donald and his wife Sandy Hartley; sister, Patricia and her husband Sean Keating; brother-in-law, James Roman; sisters-in-law, Karen and her husband Tim Ansilio, Emmy Eifert, and Kim Roman; nieces, nephews, other family and friends will miss him very much.
Celebration of Michael's Life begins Wednesday with visitation from 3 to 6 PM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre and continues there on Thursday with gathering at 8:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Plains.
Donations to the Prescription Assistance Fund at Medical Oncology Associates will honor Michael's memory.
