Michael Patrick Riley, 68, formerly of Wilkes-Barre died Thursday at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.
Born 26 January 1941 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Michael Joseph and Mary Kane Riley.
Michael was raised in Sugar Notch where he attended Saint Charles Elementary School and Sugar Notch public schools.
Michael served with the Army at Fort Benning, Georgia and Fort Meade, Maryland from 1961 to 1963.
Michael worked for Sugar Notch Borough and in area factories, including Muskin Pools for several years.
Michael enjoyed animals and outdoor life and was a fan of baseball and football.
A brother, Bernard Edwin Riley died 2 November 2008.
Surviving are his sisters, Mollie McCabe Walsh, Eileen Riley and Carolyn Stempien of Wilkes-Barre
Funeral will be held Monday at 09:00 AM from McLaughlin Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 09:30 AM in Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
