Mildred M. Petcavage

Mildred M. Petcavage, 95, a longtime resident of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
Born December 23, 1927 in Scranton she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret Burke Petcavage.
Mildred earned her BS from Misericordia University and MS in education from the University of Scranton.
Mildred was a Hanover Green Elementary School teacher for many years before retiring.
Mildred was a member of the Parish of Saint Nicholas and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a retired member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association.
Her sisters Albina Howey and Irene Van Wert, and brothers Edward and Frank Petcavage preceded her in death.
Her nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews will miss her very much.
Celebration of Mildred's Life takes place on Saturday, February 18, 2023, in the Church of Saint Nicholas, 226 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre, with visitation beginning at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Her interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton.
