Mildred E. Graver, 89, of Simpson Street in Wilkes-Barre died Sunday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born November 3, 1920 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late James and Ella Thompson Balmer.
Mildred was a 1939 graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School.
Before retiring Mildred was employed in the Wilkes University Library for twenty years.
A member of Firwood United Methodist Church and its J.O.Y. Class, Mildred enjoyed being a summer resident of Wyoming Campground for nearly fifty years.
Her husband, Robert A. Graver died September 30, 1989. A son-in-law, Jack Hooper, sister, Evelyn Winsock and brother, James Balmer also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children; Marion Hooper of Wilkes-Barre, Robert and his wife Jane Ann Graver of Wilkes-Barre and Nancy and her husband Ed D'Amico of Trucksville; grandchildren, Kevin and his wife Kelly Hooper of Harleysville, Brian and his wife Nancy Hooper of Ocean Pines, Maryland, Mark Hooper and Katie Frail of Larksville, Christopher and his wife Brandi Graver of Hummelstown, Stacie and her husband David Adamski of Philadelphia, Jason and his wife Maura Miscavage of Wilkes-Barre, Jennifer and her husband Tim Evans of Allentown, Nick and his wife Gabrielle D'Amico of Kingston, Mike and his wife Tara D'Amico of Laflin; great-grandchildren, Sean, Austin, Tyler, Meghan, Nicole and Chase Hooper, Carson Graver, Haylie, Kylie and Addison Adamski, Amanda McCabe, Riley and Ella Smith, and Caitlin and Tyler Evans; sister-in-law, Phyliss Balmer of Dallas; a niece, nephews and her life-long friend, Sara Singer of Wilkes-Barre.

Celebration of Mildred’s Life will be led by Reverend Doug Posegate and Reverend Louis Falcone on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at McLaughlin's Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Hanover Township.
Friends may call at McLaughlin’s on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM, and Wednesday from 10 to 11 AM.
