Miriam Thomas Noussair, 81, of Forty Fort, passed away on Saturday, October 6th at Hospice Community Care, Wilkes-Barre.
Born December 28, 1930 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late Thomas C. and Alice Thomas.
A 1948 graduate of Wyoming Seminary, Miriam earned her baccalaureate degree from Drexel University in 1952.
Miriam was a dedicated wife and mother. Before retiring she was employed by the Thomas C. Thomas Company and Tom Hart Realty.
Mrs. Noussair was a devoted member of the Maronite Catholic Parish of Saint Anthony + Saint George in Wilkes-Barre.
Her husband, Nabih S. Noussair died May 9, 2001. Sisters, Thalia Ann Thomas, Theresa Habib and Janice Joseph also preceded her in death.
She will be very much missed by her sons, Charles Noussair and his wife Katia Soriano of Breda, The Netherlands and Joseph Noussair of Alexandria, Virginia; granddaughter Linda; brothers, Thomas C. Thomas and John J. Thomas of Forty Fort; brother-in-law, Victor Habib of Kingston; other family and the many people who knew her.
Celebration of Miriam’s Life will be held Friday at 9 AM at the McLaughlin Funeral Home, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Liturgy at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Anthony + Saint George. Interment will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Hanover Township.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin’s on Thursday from 6 to 9 PM.
