Mollie Moore

April 24, 1918 — October 22, 2014

Mollie Moore, 96, a longtime resident of Provincial Tower in Wilkes-Barre died October 22nd at Saint Luke's Villa.

Born April 24, 1918 in Wilkes-Barre she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Boyle Moore.

A 1936 graduate of Coughlin High School, Mollie earned her baccalaureate degree from Misericordia University in 1940.

Before retiring Mollie was a bookkeeper at the Luzerne County Courthouse, International Color Press and Fowler, Dick and Walker's, The Boston Store.

Miss Moore was a member of the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima at the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the American Contract Bridge League.

Brothers, Joseph and John Moore preceded her in death.

She will be greatly missed by her nephews, Attorney Brian Moore of Mahopac, New York and Michael Moore of Merrick, Long Island; nieces, Margaret Moore of Kensington, Maryland and Kathleen Wainio of Falls Church, Virginia; her great-nieces and other family and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception, 130 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery.
