Nancy A. Harworth

Nancy A. Harworth, 67, of Kingston passed away in the presence of her loving family on Thursday, August 17, 2017.

Born December 8, 1949 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late Foster J. and Helen Burns Brague.

Nancy was a graduate of West Side Central Catholic High School and continued her studies at King’s College.

Nancy was a part of the administration of King’s College for forty-two years before retiring in 2012. Hired as a secretary in Community Relations, she later worked in the Development and Placement offices before becoming administrative secretary for the Alumni Office. Her experience in various offices helped her build relationships with students and alumni, forging a lifetime of friendships.

Nancy had a genuine love of all people and was always known to be positive and compassionate. She had an affection for all of the creatures of nature, great and small.

Nancy was a member of the Parish of Saint Nicholas for the past thirty-two years. She was also a member of the Questers Club and Westmoreland Club.

Her brother, Rev. Robert J. Brague died December 18, 1997.

Nancy will be greatly missed by her husband, Donald S. Harworth; daughters, Paula and her husband Scott Sears of Maryland and Dawn and her husband George Mannix of Maryland; granddaughter, Meghan Mannix; sister, Carol Brague of Plains; brother, Foster and his wife Joann Brague of Plains; other family and friends.

Celebration of Nancy’s Life will begin Monday with visitation from 3 to 7 PM at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre and continue there on Tuesday with gathering at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas. Interment will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.

Memorial donations are preferred and may be made in Nancy’s memory to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, 974 Lockville Road, Dallas, PA 18612
