Nancy Nice Nargoski

Nancy Nice Nargoski, 89, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Monday, November 20, 2023.

Born September 8, 1934 in Plymouth she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ann Davis Nice.

Nancy was a graduate of Plymouth High School, Class of 1952. Before her retirement, Nancy worked for Crossroads Pharmacy, Beeline Women's Wear, and later as a server at the Spinning Wheel Restaurant in Hanover Township.

After retirement, she helped take care of her grandchildren, some of her life's most special and rewarding times.

Nancy, known as Nana to many, was the backbone of the Nargoski family, even after her beloved husband, John, passed away at the young age of 63. She refused to let this grief dictate her life and, instead, invested all of her time and love in her family. Nana was an unbelievable mother to her two sons and was her grandchildren's strongest supporter. She never missed a sporting event, graduation, birthday party or holiday gathering. She loved being surrounded by her family, sharing their excitement about their successes and accomplishments.

In addition to devoting her life to her family, Nancy was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. She loved watching the Philadelphia Phillies and 76ers and often knew more about the teams than her sons and grandsons.

Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband, John, and her brother, Frank.

Her sons John and his wife Megan Nargoski and David and his wife Jayne Nargoski; grandchildren Brynn and her husband Kevin Paul, John and his wife Danielle Nargoski, Taylor, David, and Jacob Nargoski; great-grandsons Easton and Greyson Paul as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends who she treated as family will miss her very much.

Nancy's family is grateful for the loving care she received from the staff at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Serenity Care in Kingston, and Allied Home Hospice Care.

Celebration of Nancy's Life begins Wednesday, November 22, 2023, with visitation from 4 to 7 PM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. It continues there on Friday, November 24, 2023, with a funeral service at 9 AM.
