Nancy Sheerin Sabol

Nancy Jane Sheerin Sabol, 81, of Hagerstown, Maryland died Wednesday.

Born July 1, 1933 in Kingston she was a daughter of the late Matthew 'Bud' and Marion Lemmon Sheerin.

Nancy was a graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 1951 and retired from the Department of Army at the Pentagon in Washington, DC.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed volunteering her time with Hospice, Head Start and Potomac Heights Elementary School. She also treasured her time with her grandchildren and family.

Her husband, Stephen A. Sabol, died in August 29, 2001 and a daughter, Lynne Romanoski, died July 21, 2013.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Susan and her husband Robert Johnson of Hagerstown, Maryland; grandchildren, Lacie, Stephen and Mollie Johnson; sisters, Harriet Bronsburg of Shavertown and Marilyn Sajnacki of Long Island; other family and friends.

Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held Monday at 10:30 AM from McLaughlin’s – The Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.

Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM
