Norman C. Burke, 86, formerly of Dallas, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
Born July 24, 1933 in Plymouth he was a son of the late Leo and Charlotte Pearce Burke, and was a graduate of Plymouth High School.
Norman proudly served our country as a soldier of the Army during the Korean Conflict.
Norman was employed by the former PG&W company where he trained employees and local fire and police department personnel on best practices with utilities in emergency situations for thirty-five years before retiring.
Norman was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Plymouth Lodge #332 where he served as Past Master, and the Irem Shrine in Dallas.
Norman was married to Billie Kay Cooper on June 24, 1955. Together they raised their family.
A sister, Diane Thomas, and brothers, Leo, Les and Donald Burke, preceded him in death.
Norman will be greatly missed by his wife of sixty-five years, Billie; children, Terri Rule and her partner David Bonawits of Harvey's Lake, Norman and his wife Mary Burke of Texas, Wayne and his wife Rita Burke of Mechanicsburg, and Sharon and her husband Dale Hunter of Sweet Valley; twenty grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Pop Pop adored angels. Healed and reunited, he gets to marvel at them from a different view.
Norman's family will celebrate his life privately.
