Paul E. Wasilius, 66, of Terrace Road in Plains died Wednesday at his home.
Born June 3, 1944 in Nanticoke he was a son of the late Edward and Florence Richards Wasilius.
Paul was a 1962 graduate of E.L. Meyers High School and served in the Navy during the Vietnam Era.
He was employed by the Bendix Corporation for several years before taking a position with General Electric. He retired in July of 2004 after thirty years with the company.
Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and fishing.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, the former Patricia Woodruff; daughters, Joyce and her husband Joseph Shonk of Wilkes-Barre, Brigette and her husband Peter Moska of Pittston and Cynthia Wasilius of Lancaster; grandchildren, Amanda and Chrissy Shonk, Samantha and Paul Moska and Tiffanie and Peter Moska; brother, Edwin Wasilius of Trucksville; sisters, Patricia Tanner of Plains and Ann Johnson of Wyalusing.
Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held Friday at 8:30 AM from McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saints Peter And Paul in Plains. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM.
