Peggy Keck

March 6, 1923 — March 4, 2013

Peggy C. Keck of Wilkes-Barre died Monday, March 4, 2013, two days before her 90th birthday.

Born Margaret Mary Keck in Hazleton she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Murrin Keck.

Peggy was a 1940 graduate of E.L. Meyers High School in Wilkes-Barre.

Before retiring in 1985, Peggy was a Vice President of Franklin First Federal Savings and Loan Association.

Peggy was a member of the Parish of Saint Robert Bellarmine and a communicant at the Church of Saint Aloysius.

Her sisters, Anne Valaik and Alice Lifrieri and a nephew, Dr. J. David Valaik preceded her in death.

She will be greatly missed by her niece, Maryan Powell Valaik; great-nephews, Dr. Daniel Valaik and Michael Valaik; great-niece Dr. Mary Barnas; and ten great-great nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Peggy’s Life will be held Friday with a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Aloysius, Barney and Division Streets in Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.

Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to Little Flower Manor, 200 South Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre, 18702-6121.
