Peter Nardone

Peter T. Nardone, 83, of Park Avenue in Wilkes-Barre died Tuesday at Hospice Community Care.

Born April 3, 1927 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Alfonso and Anna Colarusso Nardone.

Peter was a graduate of Wyoming Memorial High School.

A Navy veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Theater.

Peter was a dispatcher for Nelson's Furniture Manufacturing Company in Wyoming until its closing. He later worked with Nachlis Furniture in Plains for a few years before retiring.

Brothers, Alfonso, Joseph, Thomas, Anthony and Angelo Nardone and sisters, Clementine Nardone and Mary Cramer preceded him in death.

Peter is survived by a sister, Marie Olympia Mahon of Wilkes-Barre and several nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Peter’s Life will be held Friday at 9 AM from McLaughlin's Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in Church of Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.

Visitation will be held at McLaughlin’s on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM
