With a heavy heart, the Rosario family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and mentor, Ramon Rosario Portorreal.
He will always be remembered as the caring, loving, patient, peaceful, devoted soul who lived a life filled with laughter and love.
Our Patriarch passed away on September 18, 2023, in Wilkes Barre, PA, surrounded by loved ones. Ramon Rosario Portorreal was born in the Dominican Republic and lived in Queens, NY, and Wilkes Barre Pa. Ramon was the oldest of 14 brothers and sisters. He was kind and generous to everyone who knew him and had a special bond with each one of his siblings. Ramon was devoted to his family and businesses.
Ramon is survived by his wife, Cecilia Rosario; four daughters, Mayra Rosario, Judy Rosario Cruz, Iris Rosario, and Julissa Rosario; a son, Rudy Concepcion; and three grandchildren, Cristina Nunez Rosario, Aryam Grullon, Abigail Cruz.
Celebration of Ramon's Life takes place at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre, on Sunday, September 24, 2023, with visitation from 1 to 4 PM.
