Richard C. Bosher, 70, of Hanover Township, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21 from complications of ALS and Leukemia.
Born June 3, 1944 in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late George and Ida Luongo Bosher. Richard graduated from GAR High School in 1962 and served in the Army National Guard’s Battery C 1st Battalion 109th Artillery from 1963-69. He worked at the Tobyhanna Army Depot, where he met his wife, Jeanne, of 48 years.
Richard was a local businessman who owned Bosher’s ARCO Service Station, AM/PM Mini Market and East End Washmobile. In later years, he worked for Sunshine Market and Quest Diagnostics, where he retired from in 2012.
He lived briefly in Florida and looked forward to making return trips to visit with family and friends and enjoyed the warm weather and sunshine.
Richard was known as an avid car lover and attended local car shows and cruises. He took great pride in is his frame-off restored 1968 Chevy Chevelle and his array of cars.
He is survived by his loving family the former Jeanne Flowers; daughter and son-in-law Stacy and James Reeser; and son Rich Bosher.

Celebration of Richard's Life will be held Wednesday at 8:30 AM from McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM.
