Robert John Kachinosky, 74, of B'nai Brith Apartments in Wilkes-Barre passed away at his residence on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.
Born January 3, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan he was a son of the late Adam and Mary Evancko Kachinosky. Bob was a 1962 graduate of Larksville High School.
After high school, Bob enlisted with the United States Navy and later transferred to the United States Army. After serving several tours of duty with the Navy and Army during the Vietnam Era, he retired from the Army as a Specialist 5 following twenty-one years of honorable service to our country.
Returning to the Wyoming Valley, Bob started a second career as a bartender at the family-owned tavern, working first with his parents and later on his own.
Bob will be greatly missed by his son, Adam Robert Kachinosky of Lewistown; daughter, Donna Marie and her husband Jonn Kachinosky-Wilson of Lewistown; grandsons, Christopher Charles Roberts, Jonathan Michael Kachinosky, Joseph Wayne Cherry, Jr. and Andrew Lee Boss; great-grandchildren, Makail, Kaylin and Joseph, III; sister, Shirley Threlfall; other family and friends.
