Robert Malesky

Robert Malesky, 70, of Mountain Top, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024.

Born July 28, 1953 in Hempstead, New York he was a son of the late Joseph J. and Julie Bly Malesky.

A Coughlin High School graduate, Bobby worked for URS for many years until its closing and later enjoyed working for Meals on Wheels.

A devoted Catholic, Bobby was a longtime communicant at the Church of Saint Patrick in Wilkes-Barre. He was a New York Yankees enthusiast and loved spending time with his Step By Step family and traveling with his family.

His twin-sister Mary died at birth. His brother, William Malesky, and sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and John Ziomek also preceded him in death.

His brothers Joseph Malesky of Wilkes-Barre, John and his wife Rita Malesky of Olyphant, and James Malesky of Harrisburg, his sister Mary and her husband Dennis Mazonkey of Mountain Top, and his nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends will miss him very much.

Our entire family is grateful for the loving care he received from the Geisinger Wyoming Valley ICU staff and the whole Step By Step staff, especially Diane, Cindy, and Karen.

Celebration of Bobby's Life begins Thursday, July 18, 2024, with visitation from 4 to 7 PM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. It continues there on Friday, July 19, 2024, with gathering at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Patrick.
