Roberta Morton Reilly, 88, born in Wilkes-Barre on October 31, 1932 to Robert Morton and Dorothy Burgit Morton entered into eternal peace on June 2, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Reilly and infant daughter Linda Reilly.
A lifelong resident of the Heights section of the city, Roberta was a loving mother who deeply cared for her family. Her beautiful smile warmed everyone's heart. She loved to make others laugh especially with her rhymes and sayings. She was a kind and gentle woman who always expressed compassion and care.
She attended Coughlin High School. After raising her children she was employed by Valley Crest Nursing Home and the Luzerne County Area Agency on Aging at the Wilkes-Barre Senior Center.
Her children and grandchildren will miss her dearly, but the memories will always be fond. Surviving are her sons, Ronald Reilly (Carol Zima), Robert Reilly (Donna Wasilewski), and Bruce Reilly (Paulette Hando), all of Wilkes-Barre; daughters, Joanne Reilly Joseph (William Joseph) and Kerri Reilly Gallagher (Kevin Gallagher), both of Mountain Top; grandchildren, Michael Reilly (Michelle Maciun), Amy Reilly Iskra (David Iskra), Kaitlin Reilly, Kean Reilly (Kaitlyn Ziegler), Kristy Reilly Coltrane (Ronald "Doug" Coltrane), Colleen Reilly, Erin Reilly, Jillian Joseph Lohmiller (Dustin Lohmiller), and Kyle Gallagher; great-grandchildren; Matthew Craig, Liam Reilly, Ryan Iskra, Rian and Henley Reilly, Ava, Alexis and Hailey Coltrane, and Joshua Dennis. She also is survived by one sibling, Donna Morton Klein (Joseph Klein) and many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved.
Celebration of Roberta's Life will begin Monday, June 7th with visitation from 4 to 7 PM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre and continue there on Tuesday, June 8th with gathering at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas.
Memorial Donations to Roberta's beloved charity, St. Joseph's Center, 210 Adams Avenue, Scranton, PA 18509 are preferred.
