Robert J. Gudoski, 81, of Sugar Notch died Wednesday at his home.
Born October 4, 1928 in Wilkes-Barre, PA he was a son of the late Joseph and Bertha Klemenskaus Gudoski.
Robert was a 1947 graduate of Sugar Notch High School.
Bob was a miner for most of his life, starting his career in the Sugar Notch #9 breaker and ending in the Huber breaker in Ashley. He was also a part-time police officer in Sugar Notch and a flag car driver for the Lippert Components company before retiring.
His brother, Joseph 'Doddy' Gudoski preceded him in death.
Surviving are the love of his life, the former Evelyn Ruthann Ruhf, with whom he exchanged vows on May 13, 1950; their children, Robert Gudoski of Sugar Notch and Deborah Eastwood of Mountain Top; and grandchildren, Robert Gudoski of Ashley and Donna and Heidi Gudoski of Sugar Notch, Jennifer Eastwood of New York City, Rebekah Eastwood of Lexington, Kentucky and Christopher Eastwood of Sugar Notch.
Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held Friday at 10:45 AM from McLaughlin's Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM in Church of Holy Family. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery in Sugar Notch.
