Roger E. Tredinnick, Sr., 66, of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre died Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
Born July 20, 1951 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Edwin J. and Dorothy Taylor Tredinnick.
An Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Era, Roger was honorably discharged as an Airman First Class after more than three years of service to our country.
Before retiring, Roger was a supervisor at The Pool Factory.
A member of the Parish of Saint Andre Bessette, Roger was a former member of the Church of the Holy Saviour where he served as Cub Master to Pack 93. He was active in the Wilkes-Barre Crime Watch organization. Roger enjoyed spending time crafting, woodworking and creating remote control operators for all sorts of things.
Although he was often a pain in the behind to his wife, Sally, he was a good, kind person as is evidenced by the gift of sight given through donation of his corneas.
A brother, Edwin Tredinnick, brother-in-law, Michael Flynn and in-laws, Melvin and Roseanne Casterline preceded him in death.
Roger will be greatly missed by his wife, the former Sally Casterline; sons, Roger E., Jr. and his wife Jamie of Wilkes-Barre, Matthew J. and his wife Sherri of Wilkes-Barre, and James M. and his wife Amanda Danko of Sugar Notch; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Daniel, Cheyenne, Rhiannon, Tori, Molly, Abby and Tanner; sister, Freeda Henri of Gulfport, Mississippi; sister-in-law, Sandy Flynn; brother-in-law, James and his wife Theresa Casterline; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Celebration of Roger’s Life will begin Thursday with visitation from 5 to 8 PM at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre and continue there on Friday with gathering at 12 PM followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 12:30 PM. Interment with military honors will be private.
