Stephen J. Brady, 93, of Dan Flood Tower in Kingston died Saturday at his residence.
Born 02 December 1915 in Oldham, Lancashire, England he was the last surviving child of James and Ellen Noon Brady.
He emigrated from England with his family at the age of eight, arriving in the United States aboard the RMS Caronia in 1924.
A Navy veteran of World War II, Steve served as a member of the Seabees in New Guinea from August 1943 to November 1945. He was discharged with the rank of Electricians Mate 2nd Class.
Until retiring, Steve owned and operated at television repair shop in Harrison, New Jersey for thirty years.
His wife, Hannah Williams Brady, brothers, Hugh and John Francis (Frank), and sisters, Mary, Nellie, Cecila and Anna preceded him in death.
Nieces and nephews are surviving.
A Celebration of Steve’s Life led by Reverend Doug Posegate will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at M.J. McLaughlin Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Mt. Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville.
Friends may call Friday 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 10 to 11 a.m.
