Terry W. Casey

Terry W. Casey passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, October 16, 2017.

Born March 28, 1931 in Wilkes-Barre he was the son of the late Mary Dougherty Casey and Walter Charles Casey and the grandson of the late Congressman John J. Casey.

Terry graduated from Meyers High School in 1949. He entered the United States Navy in 1951, achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer, and was honorably discharged in 1955. Terry spent most of his professional career with the Central Railroad of New Jersey and upon retirement from the railroad began a career in real estate. He retired from real estate in 2000.

Terry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle, and most enjoyed spending time with his family.

A daughter, Pamela J. Casey, preceded him in death.

Terry will be greatly missed by his wife of sixty-three years, Emilie Davis Casey; sister, Mary Jane O’Brien; children, Cindy and her husband Jim Stabile of Stillwater, New Jersey and Terry and his wife Wendy Casey of Dallas; grandchildren, Abigail Bacak, Jim Stabile, Casey Stabile, Julie Casey and Michael Casey; great-granddaughter, Harriet Holmes; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held Saturday with visitation from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. A memorial service will begin at 12:30 PM. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
