Theodore P. Lyons

Theodore P. Lyons, 78, a longtime Wilkes-Barre resident, passed away at his residence in North Carolina on December 20, 2021.

Born June 1, 1943 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Leonard and Agnes Petrowski Lyons.

Ted was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School.

Ted was a practicing Catholic and regular communicant throughout his life. He loved spending time with family and friends and often enjoyed telling stories and making others laugh.

His wife, Frances Tabor Lyons, died on December 8, 2010. Sisters; Eleanor Benjamin and Theresa Hanchulak, and brothers, Leonard and Thomas Lyons, also preceded him in death.

His children, Ted and his wife Callie Lyons of North Carolina, Denise and her husband Ray Culp of Shavertown, and Michael and his wife Casey Lyons of North Carolina; grandchildren, Kelsey, Shelby, and Teddy Lyons, Kristi and Jason Culp, and Zander and Maddax Lyons; brother, Robert Lyons of Plymouth; nieces, nephews, other family and friends will miss him very much.

Celebration of Ted's Life takes place Monday, December 27, 2021 with visitation from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 PM in the Church of Saint Therese in Shavertown.

Donations to the Alzheimer's Association will honor Ted's memory.
