Theresa M. Ulgherait Armstrong entered eternal peace on December 24, 2017 at Mercy Center Personal Care in Dallas.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on September 23, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Lena Ulgherait and was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School, Class of 1952.
Theresa met Michael Armstrong while working together at Planters Peanuts in Wilkes-Barre. They were married on November 28, 1959 and moved to Clark, New Jersey. Returning to Wilkes-Barre in 1972 to own and operate “The Glen Hideaway” for several years, Theresa then worked in the accounting office of Community Counseling Services for twenty-one years before retiring in 2000.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Michael Armstrong (2009) and brother, Joseph Ulgherait (2013).
Theresa will be greatly missed by her children; son, Timothy Armstrong of Maryland, and his girlfriend, Sally Walters; daughter, Teri Pace and her husband Daniel of Dallas; and grandchildren, Anthony and Daniella Pace.
The family extends special thanks for the wonderful care provided by the third-floor staff at the Mercy Center Personal Care Unit.
Celebration of Theresa’s life will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2018 with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at Mercy Center, 301 Lake Street in Dallas. Interment will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Hanover Township.
