Thomas Adamski, 91, of Washington Square in Wilkes-Barre died Sunday, January 14, 2018.
Born October 20, 1926 in the Hanover Section of Nanticoke he was a son of the late Thomas and Lottie Brudnitski Adamski.
A Navy veteran of World War II, Tom served our country honorably from 1943 to 1946.
A member of the Teamsters Local 814 in Brooklyn, Tom was a driver for the Hall Furniture Company in Brooklyn before retiring. He returned to live in Wilkes-Barre in 1981 and was a member of the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima.
A brother, Aloysius Adamski, and sisters, Tozia Jaksina, Martha Antherwitz, Nancy Macerata, Celia Steck, Sophia Law and Ann Suda preceded him in death.
Tom will be greatly missed by his wife, Barbara; son, Thomas and his wife Diane Adamski of Brooklyn; granddaughter, Jill Adamski of Brooklyn; sister, Viola Marko of Nanticoke; six nieces, other family and friends.
Celebration of Tom’s Life will begin Wednesday with visitation from 2 to 5 PM at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre and continue there on Thursday with gathering at 8:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
