Thomas J. Hart, 73, of Wilkes-Barre passed away in the presence of his loving family on Tuesday, July 13, 2021.
Born June 21, 1948 in Pittston he was a son of the late Thomas J. Hart and the late Mary Grace Engleman Remsky.
Tom honorably served our country as a soldier of the Army for three years during the Vietnam War.
Tom worked at the duPont Belin black powder works in Moosic until its closing and later worked for Rocky Glen Park and J. Roberts Welding. He was a member of the Wilkes-Barre Township Fire Department and a former member of the Jenkins Township Fire Department and Excelsior Hose Company in Duryea.
His wife of forty-five years, Jean Patricia Mayo Hart; sons, Edward and his wife Rusbelina Hart, and Richard J. Hart and his companion Jen Hergan; grandchildren, Amanda, Cory, Richard, Johnathan, Alyssa, Eddie, Kaitlyn, Samantha, and Michael Hart, Karina and Alvaro Avila; great-grandchildren, Dwayne, Jr., Khalisee, Isabella, and Joselina; brother, Gary and his wife Gina Hunt of Duryea; sister, Genevieve and her husband Louie Mazzitelli of Binghamton, NY; sister-in-law, Maureen Swiderski of Wilkes-Barre; nieces, nephews, other family, and friends will miss him much.
Celebration of Tom's Life includes visitation from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, July 16, 2021 at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre and continues there on Saturday with gathering at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas.
