A Forever Loving Husband and Father Thomas ‘Tom’ Dale Jerrytone
Tom, 62, was granted his angel wings and entered into eternal life peacefully on February 26th, 2014. His final days were spent surrounded by his family that he loved and inspired throughout his very memorable life. He bravely confronted and fought pulmonary disease.
Tom was born July 16, 1951, the younger of two sons of Sebastian J. and Lottie Wadas Jerrytone and resided in Nanticoke for the past thirty-five years. He attended Wyoming Valley West High School where he excelled not only academically, but also as a premier wrestler. He continued his education at Wilkes University, graduating in 1973 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. On August 23, 1980 Tom married the love of his life, Cindy.
A ‘Renaissance Man’ in his own right, Tom could and would accomplish anything he truly set his mind to. In 1973, Tom began a long career in accounting and finance, primarily serving the healthcare industry. Starting at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Tom eventually became the CFO and Controller at Bloomsburg Hospital. Starting in 2000, Tom transitioned from the healthcare setting and focused his accounting career with multiple local businesses. He had many interests and hobbies, including watching his favorite wrestling team (Nittany Lions) and the Bronx Bombers; listening to great rock music (The Rolling Stones); an enthusiast of Harley-Davidson and trains; home improvements; cooking and gardening; but most of all, creating memories with his family.
His parents and brother, Joseph preceded him in death.
He will be greatly missed by his endearing wife of thirty-three years, the former Cindy Moore; his proud son, Jason; his lively daughter, Heather; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
‘All you need is love, love is all you need’ From his family: Tom/Dad has provided us with more than we could ever ask for leading a life of love, laughter, perseverance, and the pursuit of true happiness.
