Thomas M. Lawall

December 20, 1942 — February 25, 2013

Thomas M. Lawall, 70, of Wilkes-Barre died Monday at Hospice Community Care.

Born December 20, 1942 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Martin and Catherine Scanlon Lawall.

Tom was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School.

Before retiring Tom was employed by PennDOT for twenty-six years.

He was a great fan of Phillies baseball and Notre Dame and Eagles football.

Tom was kind and loving, good-hearted person who always put the needs of others before his own. He was a second father to his niece and nephew.

A brother, Edward R. Lawall died February 6, 2002. An aunt, Mary Scanlon also preceded him in death.

He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews, Kevin and his wife Kimberly and their son Hunter Thomas Lawall of West Wyoming and Mary Alyce and her husband Steven and their sons Steven and Edward Joseph (EJ) Langdon of Wilkes-Barre.

Celebration of Thomas’ Life will be held Friday at 8:30 AM from McLaughlin’s – The Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
