Thomas J. Mulroy, 73, a native of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and former resident of Greene died October 17, 2017 in Dover, Delaware.
Born January 5, 1944 in Wilkes Barre he was a son of the late John P. and Irene Walsh Mulroy.
He was a Navy veteran of twenty years, serving two tours in Vietnam. He also retired from the D&H/Canadian Pacific Railroad after twenty-six years.
Tom was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the VFW. He was proud to have dual citizenship in both the United States and Ireland.
Tommy enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and his many friends. He was always smiling and had a contagious laugh. People who knew him will remember his sense of humor, quick wit, and his kind, loving, and generous ways. He will be missed by many.
Tom will be greatly missed by wife of forty-seven years, the former Joan McGilloway; daughters, Jill and her husband Steve Geller, Colleen and her husband J.J. Murphy; son, John and his wife Becky; eleven grandchildren, Grayson, Kylie, Brett, Shannen, Katie, Erin, Emma, Ryan, Reese, John, Jr. and Anna; brother, Jack and his wife Anne of Wilkes-Barre; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
A Mass Celebrating Tom's Life will begin at 11 AM on November 11, 2017 in the Church of Saint Patrick on Parrish Street in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America, Wilkes-Barre Chapter 1035, 74 Magnolia Drive, Thornhurst, PA 18424.
