Thomas D. Quigley, 84, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 5, 2021.
Born August 21, 1936 in Sugar Notch he was a son of the late Thomas and Mary Dougherty Quigley.
Tom was a 1955 graduate of Kingston Vocational School.
A soldier of the Army, he proudly served our country for more than two years during the early Vietnam Era.
Tom worked for Alcoa for several years before accepting a position with the United States Postal Service. He retired as supervisor of maintenance after more than thirty years. After retiring, Tom worked seasonally for H&R Bloch for twelve years.
A parishioner of the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima, Tom was also an American Legion member.
Tom enjoyed fishing at The Stretch and attending car shows. He loved spending time with family, especially holiday gatherings.
His wife, Marian Downey Quigley, died on August 2, 2014. A brother-in-law, John H. Kittrick, also preceded him in death.
His sisters, Patrice Kittrick of Wilkes-Barre, and Margaret and her husband Edwin Nash of Wilkes-Barre; nieces, nephews, other family, and friends will miss him much.
Celebration of Tom's Life begins Sunday, March 7, 2021, with visitation from 2 to 4 PM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre, and continues there on Monday, March 8, 2021, with gathering beginning at 11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:10 PM in the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception.
