After a lingering illness and being tenderly called home by her Divine Savior, Victoria Marie Lynn Lettier departed this life on Saturday, May 9, 2015. She resided in Wilkes-Barre with her dear, devoted husband and best friend, Timothy Lettier, until her illness. The couple recently celebrated their sixteenth wedding anniversary. She had been a resident of Timber Ridge Nursing Center at the time of her passing.
Born in Philadelphia, Vickie was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph William Lynn, Jr. and Bertha Justine Nelson Lynn.
While challenged through her life, her eager disposition, brave determination and devotion to her Catholic faith enabled her to conquer many difficulties. She participated in workshop activity at United Rehabilitation Services for many years and was employed at McDonald's in Edwardsville and Boscov's department store in Wilkes-Barre.
Vickie was a member of the Parish of Saint Nicholas where she was an altar server and enjoyed assisting with the bazaar. She participated in Special Olympics for many years.
Her brother, Jeffrey Nelson Lynn and a special aunt who played an important role in her younger years, Edith Mae Nelson Yancer of Philadelphia preceded her in death.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Timothy A. Lettier; step-daughter, Tammy; brothers, Martin F. Whitehead of Westland, Michigan and Joseph William 'Billy' Lynn, III of Philadelphia; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Vickie's entire family is grateful for the loving, compassionate care shared with her by the staffs of Timber Ridge, Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and Celtic Hospice.
