William Patrick Irwin, 69, of DeBary, Florida died Monday.
Born February 5, 1942 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late George A. and Helen C. Yatsko Irwin.
Bill was a graduate of Saint Mary’s High School and earned his baccalaureate degree from King's College.
An Army veteran, he served during the Vietnam Era.
Bill worked with his father in the operation of Keystone Candy Sales for several years, and later became owner of a Radio Shack in Florida which he operated until the time of his retirement.
Bill was a former member of the Parish of Saint Therese in Wilkes-Barre. He was an amateur radio operator and had a passion for Corvettes.
He will be missed by his wife, the former Diane Hudak; children, Ann Marie Stavish and her children, Daniel Osko and Noah Michael Stavish and David George Irwin; step-children, John and his wife Terri Ostberg and their children, John, Kara and Erin, Karin Dates and her son, Travis and Eric Michael and his wife Catherine Ostberg and their children, Victoria and Colby.
Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held Wednesday at 9 AM from McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Therese. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Tuesday from 6 to 9 PM.
