William Joseph Ruzzo, Esq., 77, of Wilkes-Barre died Saturday, September 22, 2018.
Born September 17, 1941 in Wilkes Barre he was a son of the late Patrick and Clara Shambe Ruzzo.
A graduate of Wilkes University, he earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Bridgeport.
Billy was a well-known and accomplished criminal defense attorney. In addition to his private practice of law, he was a member of the Luzerne County Public Defender's Office before retiring from that position.
He was an enthusiastic fan of the New York Yankees and Knicks and the Philadelphia Eagles.
He will be greatly missed by his children, Patrick Ruzzo, Larry Ruzzo, and Clairene and her husband Neal Lambert; grandchildren, Julien Ruzzo, Chloe Ruzzo, Nicholas Ruzzo, Sophie Lambert, Blake Ruzzo and Teagan Lambert; other family and friends.
Celebration of Billy's Life will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 with a visitation from 5 to 8 PM with a time for sharing memories beginning at 7:30 PM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre.
Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to the American Cancer Society.
